MJC Praised For Supporting Students
MJC are awarded a certificate from Stourport High School in appreciation of the time and dedication in providing work experience for Year 10 Students.
Stourport High School partners with MJC Group with its Work Experience Placement Centre, offering time to Year 10 students in a business to business environment. Work experience has long been considered an important part of helping to develop skills in pupils that they can then transfer to future employers. It also provides an insight into different industries, to mould their future career paths.
Working with the IT Technical Support Centre in Stourport, students have experienced how IT Solutions can help businesses through telephone support, remote monitoring and Field Engineer visits. Andy Rees who heads the Technical Call Centre, mentors students and says "Encouraging and supporting the next generation through work placements is an important part of the future of IT. It's rewarding for the team, as many of them have been with MJC over 10 years and can pass on their experiences".
MJC plan to continue working with the Work Experience Placement Centre over the coming years and is part of their local initiative to support the community. Stuart Milton, Director of Technical Services leads the project and explains "The work we do with Stourport High School is critical for attracting bright, new individuals into the industry. Our expansion programme for 2012 will go hand-in-hand with our continued effort to support the Education Sector".
